As we gear up for World Food Day next month, we turn our attention to one of the most pressing challenges of our time: ending hunger and severe malnutrition.
While the challenges seem insurmountable, especially amidst global humanitarian and environmental crises, Nourish the Future – A Proposal for the U.S. Government outlines the unique opportunity for the U.S. to step up and take the lead in combating malnutrition.
Hear from an esteemed panel of experts, leaders, celebrities, and U.S. policymakers on why the time is now to create meaningful change. Policymakers will discuss Congressional efforts to fight global malnutrition, and how bipartisan support is crucial to sustain progress. A plenary session featuring CEOs of leading international development organizations will also convene to outline key policy recommendations within the proposal, and why it is key to saving millions of lives within five years.
Developed in consultation with more than 100 experts in global nutrition, agriculture, nutrition, and global health, Nourish the Future is an evidence-proposal for the U.S. Government to scale up the most lifesaving malnutrition interventions across nine high-burden countries. Nourish the Future offers a strategy for the U.S. Government to drive efforts to strengthen global health and food systems – the main vehicles for combating malnutrition – and work in partnership with country governments, affected communities, and local and international organizations.
