Zander Woollcombe serves as a Senior Advisor for the Eleanor Crook Foundation. In this role, Zander drives UK political and government relations strategy and supports grant-making and stakeholder management. Zander is on the Board of United Against Malnutrition and Hunger and the UK Board of Search for Common Ground. Since 2020 Zander has supported the Eleanor Crook Foundation as a senior adviser – working closely with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where he was Head of Global Campaigns and led UK, EU, and Australian Government Relations. As a consultant, he has advised a wide range of philanthropic, non-profit, and international institutions on advocacy, communications, and campaigns in Europe, North America, India, Australia, and Africa. Since setting up Zander Woollcombe Consulting in 2017 he has advised clients including the World Health Organisation, Wellcome Trust, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, Comic Relief, Global Partnership for Education, Amnesty International, UN World Food Programme, Project Everyone, Oxford University and the London School of Economics. Prior to this, he worked for the Conservatives on development policy; Oxfam International in Brussels, West Africa, and Ethiopia, and was the ONE Campaign’s Head of UK and EU Government Relations. He holds a MA (Hons) in History from the University of Edinburgh.
