Tsinuel Girma

Dr. Tsinuel Girma is the Founder and Senior Researcher of Jimma University’s Clinical and Nutrition Research Centre and the Director of the Fenot Project at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where he works to strengthen the primary health care system of Ethiopia. For many years Dr. Girma played a leading role in establishing Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) programs in Ethiopia at its inception. Now, Dr. Girma plays a leading role in institutionalizing Management of At-risk Mothers and Infants (MAMI) programs in Ethiopia’s health systems. He received his Doctor of Medicine at Jimma University with a certificate of speciality in Pediatrics and Child Health at Addis Ababa University. Dr. Girmal also received a PhD in International Nutrition at the University of Copenhagen.
