Gemma Tumelty joined Eleanor Crook Foundation as UK Advocacy Director in June 2024. Gemma joined ECF from the LEGO Foundation in Denmark, where she was Global Director, Advocacy and Communications and led the organisation's early childhood development grant portfolio. Gemma's diverse career has encompassed impactful advocacy, communications and stakeholder management roles in national and global organisations spanning politics, business, and the third sector including the UK Labour Party, the National Union of Students and the Trades Union Congress. Gemma has also served on the boards of national and international businesses and charities. Gemma graduated from Liverpool John Moores University and lives in the South West of England with her husband, two small children and cat.
