Chytanya Kompala

Associate Director of Policy and Scaling

As the Associate Director of Policy and Scaling, Chytanya Kompala plays a critical role in driving the Eleanor Crook Foundation’s (ECF) scaling agenda, and demonstrating that coalitions of action in scaling partner countries can make a significant difference to bringing high impact interventions to all who need them. Chytanya is responsible for both cross-country and within-country strategy development and execution, working to manage partnerships with governments and other stakeholders, and leveraging expertise from grantees and across the Foundation in service of the big picture goals. In her previous role as Senior Program Officer for Research at ECF, Chytanya worked with colleagues to manage ECF's technical and research grants and guide strategic grantmaking to support the scale-up of high impact nutrition programs. As a global health nutritionist, Chytanya works with ECF grantees to implement rigorous research studies on various nutrition innovations. Chytanya also serves as the founder and co-lead of the Nutrition Scaling Working Group. Before joining ECF in 2017, Chytanya worked as a nutrition researcher at PATH and Sight & Life, with experience living and working in East and West Africa.
