Associate Director for Wasting Treatment and Prevention
Ellyn Yakowenko serves as the Associate Director for Research and Policy at the Eleanor Crook Foundation, where she oversees ECF’s global investment portfolio focused on the prevention and treatment of child wasting. In this role, Ellyn ensures forward-looking, catalytic grant-making and provides thought leadership on child wasting across the Foundation and its community of partners. Before joining ECF in 2024, Ellyn worked at the International Rescue Committee as Project Director for the Delivery System for Scale and also headed Action Against Hunger’s Research and Learning team at Action Against Hunger USA. Ellyn holds both an M.A. in International Development from American University and a B.A. from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
