Our track record

Our approach works, and the progress we’ve seen inspires us to push even further in the fight on malnutrition.

Through evidence generation, we helped reform the global guidelines for how children with severe malnutrition are treated, opening a path to reach more children with lifesaving care. And through relentless advocacy, we helped secure historic funding that resulted in massive, rapid scale-up of malnutrition treatment, which UNICEF and the New York Times estimate saved 1.2 million children's lives in 2023 alone.

"I don’t have a long background in this area. And it was when I first heard from [ECF CEO] Will [Moore] in a meeting not long after I got into the job, where he described the power of this simple pack of food and how inexpensive it was, and how many lives you can save... and I’m like, hey, why aren’t we doing more of that?... So that’s just an example of just one person telling a story both of need, and of remedy, that impacted just one individual, that now has these ripple effects."
