William Moore has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Eleanor Crook Foundation since 2015. In his role as the first CEO and first full-time employee of ECF, he has led the organization in developing an ambitious strategy and investment plan, building partnerships across the global health and development community, and serving as a vocal spokesperson for the issue of global malnutrition.
In 2026, Devex named Will among the 20 most influential people worldwide in international development.
Will has founded and chaired many organizations, including Stronger Foundations, the main network of philanthropies focused on global malnutrition; Operation End Starvation, a new public-private partnership to scale up treatment of malnutrition and improved prenatal vitamins; and United Against Malnutrition and Hunger, the leading UK advocacy organization focused on global hunger. He is a member of the United Nations Foundation's Global Leadership Council, and also sits on the board of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. He has served on the board of Bread for the World, The Alliance to End Hunger, and other leading advocacy organizations.
A North Carolina native, Will graduated with top marks from Columbia University with a degree in American Studies.
