
Associate Director for Global Advocacy
Yara Matar serves as the Associate Director for Global Advocacy at the Eleanor Crook Foundation (ECF). Prior to joining ECF, Yara was a strategy consultant for over 10 years. She worked at SEEK Development, a social impact consultancy focused on the development space, where she co-led the resource mobilization and advocacy practice, dedicated to supporting clients with developing and executing successful strategic advocacy and fundraising strategies.
Prior to SEEK, Yara worked with BCG and Booz Allen Hamilton as a public sector
consultant in the Gulf region. For over five years, she helped ministers and heads of
state with developing their national agendas in the areas of food security, agriculture, and water and supported some of the largest government transformation efforts in the Gulf.
Yara holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
