2021 Advocacy Summit: Invest in Children, Transform the Future

This year’s Bread for the World virtual Advocacy Summit will take place on July 12-13, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET) each day. Faithful advocates will gather online to participate in devotional reflections, panel discussions, and small group conversations while learning about legislative priorities ahead of virtual meetings with members of Congress in August. Other events include:

• Pan African Consultation: This program will focus on a related Advocacy Summit sub-theme of “Lament and Hope.” It offers leaders from Africa and peoples of African descent, their churches, denominations, and organizations the opportunity to build relationships and strategies with one another in a movement of faith to end hunger and poverty.
• Latino Leader Convening: This program offers leaders from Latino churches, denominations, and organizations the opportunity to network with and learn from one another to help end hunger in God’s world. More and more Latino Leaders are raising their voices to reduce malnutrition and tackle the root causes of migration.

The Pan African Consultation and Latino Leader Convening will both take place on July 13 at 12:30 p.m. (ET). Both groups will meet beforehand at 12:15 p.m. (ET) for a joint session and then for a second joint session at 2:00 p.m. for 15 minutes.
