Jonathan Rucks serves as the Director of Advocacy and Communications of the Eleanor Crook Foundation. Jonathan has worked in policy and advocacy for more than 15 years, and brings extensive experience in supporting NGOs to achieve their advocacy objectives. Prior to joining ECF, Jonathan worked as the Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy at PAI. There he led the development and management of advocacy strategies to inform and influence public policy at the federal level in the United States, at the global level and in developing countries to increase political and financial support for health and development. Prior to joining PAI, Jonathan worked for Pathfinder International, a major U.S. government implementing partner, and prior to that, he spent eight years working in the U.S. House of Representatives for both Representative Jan Schakowsky and Representative Jim Oberstar. Jonathan earned a master's degree in Strategic Security Studies from the College of International Security Affairs at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and English from St. John's University, Collegeville, MN.
